The Initiative: Seamlessly Connecting Technology and Care Practice
The challenge with technological healthcare innovation is that high-tech solutions often fail in practice because they don't align closely enough with the needs of caregivers and patients. In addition, developing safe, certified care robots requires an enormous amount of multidisciplinary knowledge — from software and mechanics to medical ethics and legislation — that individual organisations rarely have in-house on their own.
It was with this in mind that the ZorgBOTS.community was established, a platform that grew out of the successful ZorgBOTS project. Within it, partners openly share expertise, inspiration and project results. By directly connecting technology experts with healthcare professionals, we transform complex robotics into practical tools that add direct value on the work floor.
