Vacancy: Technical Project Manager
High Tech Alliance is a project organisation for innovative mechatronic solutions, where the disciplines of design, technology and knowledge come together and reinforce one another. We develop, design and deliver innovative industrial products and (custom) machines for both the domestic and international market, across a range of industries. Due to our growing number of challenging projects, we are looking to connect with an ambitious Technical Project Manager for our Valkenswaard location.
Are you the experienced Technical Project Manager or Mechanical Lead Engineer who wants to grow and develop further, who enjoys working on sustainable solutions for society, at an informal, forward-thinking and young organisation with short lines of communication?
Then we would love to talk to you.
Your challenges
As Technical Project Manager, you will be involved both technically and organisationally from concept through to delivery, and you will take the lead in the development and realisation of customer-specific machines and technical products. In addition, on both smaller and larger projects, you will be (jointly) responsible for quality, costs and planning, and maintain contact with clients and suppliers.
You contribute ideas during the concept phase and are subsequently responsible, within the multidisciplinary project team, for the construction file on the basis of which the machine or product can be realised.
Your day-to-day responsibilities also include:
- Directing the project team members through the project phases: concept development, mechanical and software engineering, testing, work preparation, assembly and commissioning;
- Alongside this hands-on role, you also fulfil a leading, motivating and coaching role within the project. Naturally, you are available to your colleagues with questions during assembly, testing or commissioning at the client, in a guiding role here;
- Being overall responsible for one or more projects and maintaining good contact throughout the project with the various stakeholders, both internally and at the client, regarding project progress;
- Checking, monitoring and coordinating execution on all technical, financial, logistical and quality-related aspects of the project;
- Organising and leading project meetings and reporting, both internally and at the client;
- Drawing up the machine or product specifications for mechanical and mechatronic systems;
- Carrying out and overseeing feasibility studies, design and process FMEAs and reviews, and managing FAT/SAT acceptance testing internally and at the client's site;
- Arranging project-related orders for standard equipment and peripherals, including monitoring delivery times.
What you'll be doing
As Technical Project Manager at High Tech Alliance, you are involved in and responsible for your project from concept development, design and engineering through to realisation. You also provide technical direction to project team members, ensuring that a working system or product with the required technical functionality and quality is ultimately delivered to the client, on time and within budget.
About you
- You have completed a university of applied sciences (HBO) or university (WO) level degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering;
- You have approximately 5 years of relevant work experience as a Mechanical Lead Engineer / Design Engineer, or a few years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, in the development of custom machine building and technical product development;
- You have some experience organising and technically leading projects and directing colleagues, or you would like to develop further in this area;
- You have solid theoretical and practical knowledge of construction principles, mechanics or mechatronics;
- You are structured, analytical, decisive, resilient under pressure and customer-focused;
- You have a strong command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
- You are enterprising and creative, with a practical, hands-on attitude, and you recognise and translate clients' technical challenges into working concept solutions;
- You are enthusiastic and flexible, show initiative and perseverance, and have strong communication skills;
A successful Project Manager is not only a stable source of knowledge and experience, but is also naturally curious, an innovator and a connector, seeking collaboration to strengthen innovation. For demanding and complex innovation and R&D projects, an enthusiastic, open and collaborative attitude is essential.
